Dumpster Sizes
Four sizes, one simple call. Compare dimensions, capacity, weight limits, and rental periods to find the right fit for your project.
10-Yard Lowboy Dumpster

The 10-yard lowboy is the heavy material specialist of our fleet. Its low sided design lets you lift broken concrete, brick, soil, roofing tile, and asphalt straight over the edge instead of carrying it up a ramp. Because dense debris adds up fast in any container, a small low sided box is almost always the right call for demolition rubble and excavated dirt.
This size is built for clean loads of concrete, asphalt, dirt, sand, brick, block, stucco, and roofing tile. It also handles mixed construction debris from a single room remodel, a bathroom gut, or a small deck tear out. Keep heavy inert material separated from household junk where possible, since clean concrete and dirt loads are processed differently at the facility .

Choose the 10-yard when the debris is heavy rather than bulky. A patio demolition, a driveway section, a landscape regrade, or a tile roof strip will max out a larger box on weight long before it fills, so the smaller container is the practical choice. If your debris is light and voluminous, such as furniture, cabinets, or packing material, step up to the 12-yard trailer or 25-yard instead.
Best For
Not ideal for: Not the right pick for whole home cleanouts, large furniture volumes, or multiroom renovations, where the 25-yard gives you far more usable space for the same trip.

- Concrete
- Dirt
- Asphalt
- Tile

- Yard waste (branches, sod)

12-Yard Trailer Dumpster

The 12-yard trailer is our tight access option. Its compact 14-foot length tucks into short driveways, narrow side yards, condo and townhome parking stalls, and older streets where a full roll off simply will not fit. The trailer rolls in on wheels rather than being dragged off a rail, which means gentler placement on finished driveways and decorative concrete.
It takes general household junk, furniture, mattresses, cabinetry, flooring, drywall, yard trimmings, and light remodel debris. Because it carries one ton, it is best kept to lighter mixed loads rather than concrete, dirt, or tile. If your project includes a small amount of heavy material, tell us when you call and we will advise on the right container.
| Size | 12-Yard Trailer Dumpster |
|---|---|
| Capacity | Approximately 3-4 pickup truck loads |
| Dimensions | 14 ft. L × 7 ft. W × 3 ft. H |
| Weight limit | 1 ton included |

| Delivery | Fast delivery |
| Walls | 3 ft. sidewalls with a rear gate |
| Loading | Rear gate access for wheelbarrows and hand trucks |
| Footprint | Shortest footprint in the fleet, fits tight driveways |
Choosing the Right Size
Pick the 12-yard trailer when access, not volume, is the limiting factor. It is also a flexible choice for shorter projects, and it can be swapped quickly if you fill it faster than expected. Weekend decluttering, a single room flooring replacement, or a small landscaping refresh all fit this size comfortably.
Best For
Not ideal for: Not suited to concrete, dirt, or roofing tile in quantity, and too small for full property cleanouts or sustained construction work.

- Household furniture
- Appliances (fridges, washers, dryers)

25-Yard Dumpster

The 25-yard is the workhorse most renovation and cleanout projects end up needing. Four and a half foot walls give you real volume for bulky debris while the rear gate lets crews walk appliances, cabinet runs, and long lumber straight in rather than lifting everything overhead. For a multiroom remodel, it is usually the difference between one container and three trips with something smaller.
Accepts mixed construction and demolition debris, drywall, framing lumber, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, doors, windows, furniture, appliances, carpet, and household junk. Asphalt shingle tear offs fit well here too. Keep hazardous material, liquids, paint, tires, and batteries out of every container.
| Size | 25-Yard Dumpster |
|---|---|
| Capacity | Approximately 8 pickup truck loads |
| Dimensions | 22 ft. L × 8 ft. W × 4.5 ft. H |
| Weight limit | 3 tons included |
| Rental period | 7-day rental |
| Delivery | Fast delivery |
| Walls | 4.5 ft. sidewalls with a swing open rear gate |
| Loading | Rear gate plus over the side loading |
| Footprint | Needs roughly 40 ft. of straight clearance to set |
Choosing the Right Size
Choose the 25-yard when you are clearing more than one room, gutting a kitchen, reroofing a standard home, or emptying a property ahead of a sale. If the load is mostly concrete, dirt, or tile, the 10-yard lowboy is the better and safer option because weight, not space, will govern the job.
Best For
Not ideal for: Avoid filling it with concrete, dirt, or masonry, which will exceed safe transport weight well before the box is full.

- Household furniture
- Appliances (fridges, washers, dryers)

- Construction debris (drywall, wood)
- Roofing materials

40-Yard Dumpster

The 40-yard is maximum capacity for high volume, lower density debris. Eight foot walls swallow framing lumber, roofing, insulation, packaging, fixtures, and full rooms of furniture, which makes it the standard container on demolition sites, commercial turnovers, and large property cleanouts where constant swaps would stall the crew.
Built for bulky construction and demolition debris, commercial cleanout material, warehouse and retail fixtures, framing, siding, insulation, drywall, and large volumes of furniture. It is not intended for concrete, dirt, brick, or tile, which must go in the 10-yard lowboy for weight reasons.
| Size | 40-Yard Dumpster |
|---|---|
| Capacity | Approximately 12 pickup truck loads |
| Dimensions | 22 ft. L × 8 ft. W × 8 ft. H |
| Weight limit | 4 tons included |
| Rental period | 7-day rental |
| Delivery | Subject to availability |
| Walls | 8 ft. sidewalls with a full rear gate |
| Loading | Rear gate walk in loading for large items |
| Footprint | Needs roughly 45 ft. of straight clearance and overhead room |
Choosing the Right Size
Choose the 40-yard when volume is the constraint and you want fewer hauls. Commercial contractors, property managers, and general contractors running a phased job typically pair one 40-yard for bulk debris with a 10-yard for any heavy inert material. If you are unsure, describe the job on the phone and we will size it with you.
Best For
Not ideal for: Never load concrete, dirt, brick, or tile into a 40-yard, and confirm you have the space and overhead clearance before delivery day.
